Courses Offered
VISAT offers all standard undergraduate and graduate programs in different specialities of Engineering and accepts 60 students each year into our BTech programs.
VISAT offers the following Engineering Degree (BTech) courses which have been approved by the AICTE and affiliated to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University:
- Mechanical Engineering- 60 seats
- Civil Engineering- 60 seats
- Electronics and Electrical Engineering- 60 seats
- Electronics and Communication Engineering- 60 seats
- Computer Science and Engineering- 60 seats
Duration Of The Course
The BTech program extends over a period of four academic years spanning over eight semesters. The first two semesters are set to be combined such that the syllabus is spread over the course of one academic year for both the semesters and is common for all the departments of Engineering. A maximum period of eight years is allowable for the completion of the course and obtaining the degree whereas for lateral entry students, this period is seven years.
Electives
A wide selection of prescribed elective courses are available for the students to choose from during the course of their study- one in the sixth semester, one in the seventh and two in the eighth.
