Prof. Dr. Binoy Alias Mattamana
VISAT is fortunate to have a strong and dynamic individual leading us onto the path of success through his constant support and motivation. Our Principal, Dr Binoy Alias Mattamana is an expert academician, a PhD holder and has over 28 years of teaching and consultancy experience. He has also served as the Principal of three Engineering Colleges in Kerala and has three years of administrative experience in addition to his six years of research experience.
Dr Binoy’s area of expertise is Water Resources Engineering and Management and Green Building Consultancy. He is also a Doctoral and Masters Degree Examiner of NIT, CUSAT and Kerala University and has valuable experience in project studies with WS Atkins (United Kingdom). He is also associated with the Operations Research Group, Baroda (India). He pursued his PhD in Integrated Water Management from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore after securing distinction in his Masters in Engineering at Anna University. He completed his B Tech in Civil Engineering from the Kerala University, with a distinction and since then has been in the pursual of knowledge in the field, gaining various laurels along the way.
He is a true visionary who is at the helm of establishing educational institutions and ensuring quality in them. He believes that education should be accessible and one that leads to learning outcomes rather than degrees.
He inspires the students with his drive towards excellence and is a role model for the faculty members to whom, he is a guiding presence. After having rendered his services to some of the top Institutes in Kerala and having donned multiple hats from Assistant Professor to Principal and Dean of Studies, he is a stellar addition to this growing bastion of knowledge.
