The different social services undertaken by the students at VISAT include Energy Conservation, AIDS Awareness, Gender Equality, Heritage, Traffic and Hygiene Awareness, Environmental Issues, Alcohol and Drug Awareness, and these services are enabled by the Social Service Club.
Social Service
The main objective of this club is to promote the betterment of the relationship between the students and the society and inculcate habits of giving back to the society in the students so that they continue to do so following graduation as well such that they turn out to be exemplary citizens of the country. We have also noted that by facilitating students participating in social services, we enrich their learning abilities and relieve them of their day to day stresses.

Goals of the Club
The Social Services Club promotes the students’ social understanding and knowledge through the following means:
- Provides them opportunities to understand the community in which they work.
- Promotes an understanding of themselves in relation to the community.
- Helps them identify the needs and problems of the society and actively involve them in the problem solving activities.
- Helps students develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility.
- Promotes the practice of students utilizing their knowledge so as to find practical solutions to individual and community problems.
- Helps them develop the competence required for living in a community and sharing responsibilities.
- Helps them garner skills in community participation.
- Helps students develop leadership qualities and attitude that is democratic in nature.
- Promotes ability to meet emergency situations and handle natural disasters.
- Provides students opportunities to practice national integration and maintain social harmony.
